    • Telephone Triage and Advice Instructor and Provider Courses

The importance of implementing the triage methodology in a standard format cannot be stressed enough.
    • All clinicians using MTS Telephone Triage must have received the MTS provider or instructor training from a registered MTS instructor.

There are two types of courses available: Instructor or provider.

The MTS instructor course is aimed at senior clinicians with a minimum of 6-12 months telephone triage practice, and once completed will allow provider training to be cascaded in-house. The instructor course is delivered remotely over two 4 hour sessions or in person over one day.

In order to book a place on an instructor course your service must already hold a TTA license or be looking to implement a license for the TTA tool.

MTS Provider courses are aimed at clinicians new to the Manchester Triage System and are require completion of a number of e-modules, prior to attending a Teams session.

The provider course enables clinicians to use the MTS in practice but does not allow for training to be cascaded.

If you wish to discuss the possibility of arranging training locally, please use the 'contact us' form. Please also note that it is important that you have the correct licensing in place before implementing triage within your organisation. To learn more about this, see the Licensing section above.

Both the instructor and provider courses cost £250 per person.

Provider courses require a minimum of 4 places to be booked however discounts can be arranged if more than 4 people from the same service attend.

The instructor course will include a copy of the TTA e-book (Online courses only).

Please click here to direct you to the MTS Telephone Triage and Advice booking form.

Provider courses require a number of e-modules to be completed prior to your online session so please ensure you leave enough time when booking your course. You may be asked to re-book another date if e-modules have not been completed prior to attending.

Please contact Kelly Flaherty to apply for a place or complete the booking form above.

If you are based outside of the UK, there may be an established Manchester Triage Reference Group who can provide a local contact for MTS instructors – to see a complete list, click here

If your country is not on the list, please contact us to discuss implementation and training.
