    • Telephone Triage and Advice Instructor and Provider Courses

      The importance of implementing the triage methodology in a standard format cannot be stressed enough.
    • Attendance at a national MTS training day will ensure each service is given appropriate direction and added information on dissemination of training and advice. 


      The MTS instructor course is aimed at senior clinicians with a minimum of 6-12 months telephone triage practice, and once completed will allow telephone triage provider training to be cascaded in-house. The instructor course is delivered over two 4 hour sessions. In order to book a place on an instructor course your service must already hold a TTA license or be looking to implement a license for the TTA tool.

      Provider courses are aimed at clinicians new to the Manchester Triage System and are a mixture of e-modules completed prior to attending a Teams session. 

      Following a period of supervision and sign off, the provider course enables clinicians to use the MTS in practice but does not allow for any training to be cascaded. 

      All MTS courses currently being run remotely.

      Both the instructor and provider courses cost       £175 per person. Provider courses require a minimum of 4 places to be booked. Discounts can be arranged for more than 4 people. The instructor course will include a copy of the TTA e-book.

      From 2026 the TTA instructor course and TTA provider course fee will be £250 per person.

      Provider courses require a number of e-modules to be completed prior to your online session so please ensure you leave enough time when booking your course. You may be asked to re-book another date if e-modules have not been completed prior to attending.
